Record what you find, where you find it. Manage multiple field assessment projects, record GPS-tagged observations, notes and photos, and return for repeat monitoring visits. Forms, GPS capture, saved records and boundary editing work offline after the first load. Shared projects sync when you reconnect. The optional online basemap needs a connection.

Device-only project.
Project roles and team access
The app will save their role and email them a secure sign-in link. They will not need ChatGPT or a separate app-site invitation.
Offline work is saved on each device and syncs when it reconnects. Removing a teammate blocks future access and sync, but cannot erase a copy already saved on their device.
Choose a record type, capture your location, then add notes or a photo.

Field limits: obtain landholder or site-manager permission and any required approvals before entry. Follow the site induction, work health and safety plan, biosecurity / decontamination procedures, traffic, fire, weather and water-safety directions, and any Traditional Owner or cultural-heritage protocols. Do not handle wildlife, collect specimens, excavate or disturb habitat or heritage, enter unsafe water, unstable ground, caves, mines, or closed areas, or work beyond your training and authorisations. This app stores field observations; it does not confirm species identifications, diagnose environmental conditions, grant access, or replace a formal baseline or regulatory assessment. Stop, withdraw and report hazards or possible sensitive findings through the agreed contact. Record only information you are authorised to collect.

Visit and seasonal comparisons
Compare repeated observations across ecosystems. Use consistent locations, timing, methods and survey effort. Record counts and averages are descriptive; they do not by themselves prove ecological change.
Indicators by visit
Change between consecutive visits
Repeated plot measurements
Threat observations by category and severity
Repeat photo points

Offline edits that need a person to review them stay visible here.

Restore a locally retained record or map layer before it is permanently removed from device storage.
Project activity log
Synced changes show who changed an item, when, and which fields changed. Field values and photos are not duplicated here.
In-app field and project boundary map
Draw a project area offline. It syncs with a shared project when online and exports as GeoJSON for QGIS.
Boundaries and records are linked to the selected project.
Online basemap is optional: choosing “Load online map tiles” displays OpenStreetMap beneath both maps and sends visible tile locations and ordinary network request details to its tile service. Panning, zooming, recentering or changing the project map view while tiles are enabled requests newly visible tiles. The app does not send saved observations or photo files. Keep the basemap off to avoid those requests; GPS capture, boundary drawing and saved data remain available offline.
When drawing, tap or click the map to add corners, or walk to each corner and tap “Add GPS point.” Three or more points are required. A drawn area is approximate; GPS accuracy depends on your device and conditions. Export a backup after fieldwork.
Project map and field records
Map layers and saved GPS records follow the selected project.

Add a QGIS layer: export the layer from QGIS as GeoJSON in WGS 84 (EPSG:4326), then upload it below. GeoJSON points, lines and polygons appear in this map and remain available offline on this device. A full QGIS project file (.qgz) or GeoPackage is not rendered directly by this web app.
No project layers uploaded.
Offline map image: export a north-up PNG/JPEG/WebP map from QGIS in WGS 84 (EPSG:4326), then enter its west, south, east and north edges. The image is displayed behind your records and boundaries while offline. Its alignment is only as accurate as the exported extent; it is not a live tiled basemap.
Records and map layers stay on this device until a project is shared. Shared project data syncs when the device reconnects. Export a backup regularly.
Export and recovery
Download QGIS outputs and a restorable project backup after fieldwork.
QGIS survey bundle
Separate point layers for areas, plots, flora, fauna, threats, water, geosites and photo points. Possible/unsure heritage concerns are a non-spatial CSV; only clearly historic features can have GPS/photos when permitted.
Field table
A plain CSV table for reviewing all records in a spreadsheet. Photo paths are listed by record ID.
Restorable project backup
Includes this project’s repeat visits, records, map layers, deleted-item recovery copies and locally available photos.
Restore from backup
Restoring replaces matching items in the active project. For a shared project, only its owner can restore the backup.
Open the bundle in QGIS
Download and unzip the bundle on your computer.
In QGIS, add the GeoJSON files from the unzipped folder as vector layers.
Keep the photos folder beside the GeoJSON files. The photo_index.csv maps photos to record IDs.
All fixes are points. App-drawn field/project boundaries are included as GeoJSON in qgis-layers; draw additional erosion lines or restoration polygons in QGIS if needed.
Open heritage_concerns.csv as a non-spatial table; it intentionally does not map possible/unsure cultural heritage concerns.
The bundle includes a README with the same instructions. Exporting does not delete records from this device.
Install on your phone and work offline
Open this app once while online so its page can be saved for offline use.
In your browser menu, choose Add to Home Screen or Install app.
Open it from the home-screen icon. Allow location access when asked; press Capture my location for each record.
Each device keeps an offline copy. Shared projects sync when a connection returns. Export often, and do not clear browser storage until you have a copy.
GPS needs phone location services and browser permission. A poor satellite view or phone GPS can make the position less accurate; the app records the reported accuracy when available.
Restore deleted records from Records → Review. Download a backup before making bulk changes.
